Nearly 400 people “got on the bus” in support of Real World Learning
Nearly 400 people gathered at The Abbot in Kansas City, MO for the first Real World Learning (RWL) “Get on the Bus Partner Luncheon.” The event served as a kick-off for the next phase of RWL, as its partner school districts look to scale access to Market Value Assets for their students. The room was filled with educators, students, community partners and businesses. And the theme of driving the future of education was a call to all employers to join the movement and provide real-world experiences for our region’s high school youth.
15 high school students, Mayor Quinton Lucas, Susan Chambers of the Kauffman Foundation, Tom Vander Ark of Getting Smart, and Anita Newton of CommunityAmerica Credit Union all reinforced that now is the time to ‘Get on the Bus’ to support our future workforce.
